Perinatal Support

Acupuncture can benefit you through each stage of your pregnancy. We work in coordination with your western healthcare providers to encourage the health of you and your baby from gestation through birth and into the post-partum period.

In the early stages of pregnancy, acupuncture can help address common symptoms such as:

  • Morning sickness

  • Fatigue

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Recurrent pregnancy loss

  • Miscarriage recovery

During the later stages of pregnancy, acupuncture can help with:

  • Edema

  • Gestational Diabetes

  • Insomnia

  • Low back and hip pain

  • Management of hypertension

  • Preterm labor prevention

Birth Preparation

From week 37 to birth, weekly acupuncture can help assist in the transition from pregnancy to labor by:

  • Promoting cervical ripening and dilation

  • Relaxing the muscles and tendons

  • Supporting the nervous system

  • Emotional support to address the fears surrounding labor and delivery

Research suggests that birth preparation can help support a  smoother and faster delivery for most women.

Post-partum Care

Following the birth of your baby, acupuncture can help with:

  • Overall recovery

  • Fatigue

  • Post-partum depression

  • Lactation Issues

  • General well-being

"I've never felt more welcome and cared about, at a healthcare provider or any other type of business, than at Zentral. Also, this is the healthiest I've been, overall, possibly ever"
